HopeCity Ushers in a New Era of Community-Centric Innovation with Newark Real Estate Acquisition
Newark, NJ – June 23, 2023– HopeCity Newark Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity and a groundbreaking equity and sustainability research project by Human Elevation, has announced the acquisition of its inaugural property in Newark, New Jersey, to launch the transformative HopeCity Project.
Through Human Elevations visionary technology division, ∑lemental Measure, HopeCity will leverage artificial intelligence and AI agents to measure, learn, and understand the unique needs of the community. This cutting-edge approach enables the implementation of hyper-local and personalized strategies designed to uplift and empower residents, fostering meaningful, lasting change.
This acquisition marks more than a milestone; it is the foundation of a movement. At its core, HopeCity is about redefining prosperity—creating a circular service economy where shared ownership, mutual benefit, and long-term equity drive sustainable growth. Newark, with its dynamic potential and rich cultural history, becomes the proving ground for this bold vision.

The first phase of this endeavor will include the construction of 480 mixed-income housing units alongside spaces designed to foster a thriving, self-sustaining community. These include a shared ownership community bank, a grocery store, a wellness center, an education and training hub, restaurants, a gymnasium, and recreational facilities such as a pool and basketball courts.
